CEMVO Scotland and CEMVO Enterprises CIC is delighted to be working with Social Investment Scotland(SIS) to focus on introducing ethnic minority social enterprises / groups to Social Investment finance.
Scotland (SIS) to focus on introducing ethnic minority social enterprises / groups to Social Investment finance. Join us for an interactive workshop with SIS where they will introduce the concept of social investment and launch a part grant and part loan funding package that ethnic minority (EM) social enterprises can apply for, and which will help provide a taster for EM social enterprises / groups in accessing social investment. A limited number of EM social enterprises / groups will be able to apply for between £1,000 – £5,000 through this taster funding stream.
The session will cover:
- The basics of social investment – what it is and how it works
- The social investment funders in Scotland – who provides social investment and for what
- How to access SIS mixed grant and loan taster funding through support from CEMVO Scotland.
We will be joined by a guest speaker who will share their experience of accessing social investment and explain how it has helped them generate greater impact in their communities.
