REN Information and Networking Event - Inverness (Date: 29-03-11)

SKILLS EXCHANGE: HELPING ORGANISATIONS TO EXCHANGE SKILLS AND RESOURCES AT NO COSTS

CEMVO Scotland will be introducing a new skills sharing project. The Reciprocal Exchange Network, or REN, is an innovative new project that strives to help ethnic minority & mainstream voluntary organisations and social enterprises help themselves without spending money.

 

Meeting the Funders (Date: 03-03-11)

This session will help ethnic minority participants to learn about the funding criteria’s of various funders and more about funding opportunities. The session will allow an opportunity to explore funding directly with funders through one to one surgeries. It is envisaged that these sessions will include a range of funders such the Big Lottery, Lloyds TSB Foundation, The Robertson Trust etc.

 

Introduction to Marketing (Date: 24-02-11)

This training session will provide an introduction to Marketing that will enable organisations to improve the promotion of their services. The session will involve some group work and case studies and will also be an opportunity for groups to network with other organisations.

 

Practical Skills in Effective Presentation (advanced level) (Date: 19-02-11)

Veteran Trainer, Richard Ellis will deliver this powerful hands on training. This free training session is open to all ethnic minority individuals wishing to “sharpen their public presentation and facilitation skills in a range of scenarios.

 

This session will help ethnic minority participants to learn about the funding criteria’s of various funders and more about funding opportunities. ETHNIC MINORITY SOCIAL ENTERPRISE LEARNING VISIT TO ONE OF THE MOST ESTABLISHED ETHNIC MINORITY SOCIAL ENTERPRISES IN SCOTLAND

Come along and see them in action and hear about their experience and journey in developing their social enteprrise businesses. This event is only open to ethnic minority community groups/voluntary organisations and ethnic minority individuals who are thinking about or planning to develop social enterprise activities.
